Drain Mats

Our Drain Mats are engineered drainage and erosion control systems designed to stabilise exposed soil surfaces and regulate water movement across slopes and embankments.

Combining a structured drainage layer with filtration, soil-binding and vegetation support components, the system controls runoff, reduces erosion and promotes rapid vegetation establishment. This integrated approach improves soil cohesion and protects surfaces from degradation in challenging ground conditions.

Installation

  • Prepare the slope or embankment by removing debris, vegetation and loose material, and grade to a smooth, even surface.
  • Lay the drain mats from the top of the slope downward, ensuring correct alignment and positioning.
  • Overlap adjacent mats sufficiently to maintain continuous surface coverage and prevent water ingress.
  • Secure the mats using steel pins at regular intervals across edges, overlaps and the main surface.
  • Ensure full contact between the mat and soil surface, avoiding air gaps or lifting.
  • Allow the integrated seed system to establish vegetation, providing long-term surface stabilisation.
